so i’m a pattern cutter & sewing machinist by trade, and i used to be a professional yoyoer. i also have some expertise in carpentry & metalwork
these all work for me because they require a lot of focus and i’m using my hands constantly. i think it’s something about having to be focused for safety reasons with all these that keeps me locked in, and finishing stuff is rewarding bc it was in your brain and now you can hold it or use it. that’s a high i chase too
but i don’t do as well with things that are more abstract or digital because i just get distracted and stop caring
