by Benjamin Labatut. Fictionalized stories about real scientists/mathematicians etc. whose inventions and discoveries shaped the world (mostly for the worse). rlly shocked me!
If you like science fiction, design, speculating about all our possible futures, youâll probably like this narrative chaos that (I trust) ganzeer has fully đ down. Chapter 8/10 just came out and also reminded me itâs fun to get your stories via drip bc then youâre a whole different person every time you return to the world
when i pulled up to the bar and saw Ethan reading this is I said âwhat is that?â and then said âwhat year is this?â Anyway, itâs a cool sci-fi lit mag with coupons and cut-and-mail subscription. Feels very good for fans of PIâs reading group and Left Hand of Darkness in particular. (I read a story about what sexual autonomy means in an age of complex body/mind modification ((which we should all aspire to.))
heavenly đȘœ before is also great obv, but thereâs something special about that cold rinse after the post sex pee that makes me grateful to be alive
I was going through the Ignatian approach to education today (adapted from the Spiritual Exercises for those keeping track at home) and this tenet is just so good.
St. Ignatius says that a person, âought to be more eager to put a good interpretation on a neighborâs statement than to condemn it.Further, if one cannot interpret it favorably, one should ask how the other means it. If the meaning is wrong, one should correct the person with love; if this is not enough, one should search out every appropriate means through which, by understanding the statement in a good way, it may be saved.â
This is very Hanlonâs razor (never attribute to malice what you can attribute to stupidity/ignorance) and I just feel like having a curious posture like this is a major slay and makes us better people
