this is my favorite way to find new playlists– go to an artist's page that you like (ideally not extremely popular) and scroll down to the "discovered on" section, and it shows you playlists where people found this artist. i find so many great playlists from strangers on here (i avoid the spotify-made playlists like the plague, they feel soulless to me)

this is my favorite way of discovering music: go into your spotify followers/following, find a cool person/someone from your past, go into their followers, find a cooler person, peruse their playlists, add anything that looks cool to your queue -- rinse and repeat ad infinitum. i tend to go down a rabbit hole when i do this which means i never get through the whole queue so i add all those songs to a massive playlist called "today's queue" that i put on when i need to expand my taste. i just add the whole thing so it's a nice mix of new and old that makes the combing-through experience very fun. as i listen to the songs i release them from today's queue and add them to my liked songs or discard them into the digital void.

At least in this sense lolz Option 1. put a few songs of a band/ genre you enjoy —> scroll down to the suggested list —> add away! you can always remove any songs that arent ur vibe Option 2. Type in “key words” into the search —> have a look at other ppls playlists —> listen to what theyve got —> cherry pick songs/ bands u enjoy Option 3. Ask your friends/ family/ WHOEVER for recommendations (it’s a great convo starter) —> you can listen to them right away or keep a recommendation playlist and add songs you actually like to ur own playlist

Bootstrapped read-it-later app with strong opinions and a killer feature roadmap. Have been using feedly and pocket for the last decade. This replaced them both for me immediately.
