Great way to expand your horizons musically. I get trapped in my own wheelhouse a lot, so itโs nice to hear stuff from completely out of the algorithmically generated left field. Highly curated all vinyl shows helmed by gray haired disk jockeys prone to rambling. Or mumbly college kids hooking their phones up to play from their playlists. Its nice. Adds a neat local flavor to life too. Won tickets to see Thundercat via a KXLU sweepstakes. Called immediately after and won tickets to see KAYTRANADA. Nobody else called in I guess.
BBC radio 2 has this amazing show on a Sunday morning called โLove Stories.โ Listening to love songs and hearing listeners of the show call in to share their own love stories is a great way to start a Sunday.
*warning*** some of the love stories have a tendency to make you cry (especially if you are hungover)
afternoon concert, lunchtime concert, choral evensong, something a bit hip in the evening. you learn things and nice ladies speak to you every half hour or so.
