take care of your body and get some movement in!! find the funnest way to strength train for yourself- itll help more than stretching ever will with knee or back pain. also, learning to handle weight in heels- having people go ??? as u lift heavy items in 4 inch platforms is so fun, i love proving myself like a teenage boy in gym class
did my first strength workout in months and woke up with such a delightful soreness in my muscles that was further made lovely by a 40 minute stretching and breath work session. can’t rec enough how happy my body feels to have gotten to move this way this morning.
I've always gone in and out of workout routines. Spurred on by an unpleasant conversation with a doctor, I've been back on my boxing bullshit. Except this time around, I've been focusing on feeling and "exploration of my strength" more than the calories burned or how heavy the dumbbell was. And now, for the first time in my life, I can reliably touch my toes. I am 31 years old, and I can only just now do it without grimacing. STRETCH, people. It feels so good.
as ive gotten older ive felt less and less flexible so ive been stretching in the mornings and it’s been amazing. i think everyone should. we only get one body, take care of it!
I will not listen to instagram nutritionists or 20 year olds who read a handful of studies on Reddit dot com/pudmed. i WILL be listening to the people with years of science and experience
its literally my closet, i bought it bc i like it and want to wear it- why would i not rewear the outfit if it was a hit? forever thinking of that lizzie mcguire "well you're an outfit remember-er" quote
