A freshly baked slice of cherry pie is so good it’s like touching God. Everyone already likes all the berry pies cause they’re good. Pumpkin, Sweet potato, and Pecan are holiday staples. I just wanna shout out some of the harder to find varieties that are also incredible. Shout out to:
- key lime
- coconut creme
- banoffee
- Lemon meringue It’s really hard to find a truly good slice of pie, esp if it’s one of the more uncommon varieties. Feels like you kinda just have to do it yourself or know someone, either of which can be good in their own way, but it would be nice to just be able to stop at a diner or cafe late at night and get an amazing slice of pie and some coffee. Also feels like America should have
more savory pies than chicken pot pie but that’s for another day. Anyways, if you have a good slice of pie, cherish it.
also called flânerie. i think a lot can be seen and learned from going on walks without a set purpose in mind. rather than the journey being about the end goal, it becomes about the experience as a whole. so linger about and enjoy what you notice!!
albums are creative experiences that were carefully crafted by artists with their own experiences, values, interests, etc. in mind. i believe that those who don't listen to albums are missing out on a critical part of the musical experience. i really love to see how artists transition from song to song and listen to their music in the way it was intended to be listened to. my favorite album at the moment is speaking in tongues by talking heads.
i now have two of them in my wardrobe and they have quickly become an essential for me. they are perfect for layering in the winter and make any outfit you put on look instantaneously cool. in general, any midi/maxi skirt is essential for me, i've just been leaning more towards plaid and wool recently.
