Learning something new (especially but not only languages or skills) takes a lot of time and focus. Be patient and open! I often get a feeling of instant panic or frustration when I approach something new that seems too confusing. But stick with it, and things will start coming together! This is important not only for approaching external things, but also for working through your own ideas. This is my grad school affirmation I have to tell myself every time I open my laptop 😱

It’s overwhelming when nothing seems to quite work out, but the opportunities are endless. patience and persistence was my motto 🙂

moving here can be really hard!!! my first year or two was extremely difficult but i eventually found my footing. i recommend staying open to possibilities but also being selective—there is sooo much to choose from here that new things are often worth trying but you also dont have to waste your time on things that feel untrue to you. it's all about finding the balance ^___^ seek out what interests you and dont be afraid of taking risks!!!

Sometimes it takes practices, re-takes, re-tries, thousands of mishaps and failures. But if in the end you can make it work and smile in satisfaction, that’s all that matters. Don’t be scared of passionately trying just because you might embarrass yourself!

Really, the public library is just a big living room. Enjoy it as such.

saw this on a vegan life hack Instagram reel and it truly changed my life. cook your mushrooms in a hot, dry pan pressing them down to release most of the moisture before adding oil. youll get to a point where the mushrooms start releasing a bunch of liquid at once; this is the time to add the salt. this gives them such a good texture. Mushrooms are also very difficult to burn so don’t be afraid of heat 🔥🔥🔥
