I work in the Office of an old school department store in my hometown. It’s extremely wholesome and they have been in this spot in Kansas since 1857!! I dress up as a secretary and use a landline and 9 key calculator. It is amazing.
I maybe am less fun and interesting than I once was but having a nice routine where I put on cute little office siren Outfit and go to work and chitchat to coworkers during lunch feels very nice…. u can still do fun artsy things on the side but also have health insurance!
Do I actually work here? Nobody knows. Everyone once in a while I’ll fix somebody’s computer or restock the snacks to stay in peoples’ good graces (and so nobody asks too many questions.)
