The Wire, season 4, episode 12. Best episode of Television there is. Best there ever will be. I'm also a big fan of the two finale episodes of The Leftovers.

HBO crime drama from the 2000s. Unlike most crime dramas which neatly cover one case per episode, The Wire covers one case per season, allowing it to tell a sprawling and complex story of various societal institutions and the web of players within them. It candidly portrays organized crime and bureaucratic dysfunction from the perspective of criminals, detectives, lawyers, politicians, journalists, etc to advance its central theme of the conflict between individuals and institutions. This was originally recommended to me by erraticcompendium on the basis that I love The Sopranos (with which the comparisons are pretty self-evident, it’s regrettable this show hasn’t seen the same gen z resurgence). admittedly I am only on season 2 but this shit rules. peak television (also some lore that I got put on to this show because of one of taterhole’s quizzes indicating that the fictional character I’m most similar to is Bubs. lol)

I pulled together all the good advice I could on how to get a men's summer wardrobe together cheap. I hope it helps somebody.

I feel like this place isn't about people but about recommendations, right? forget the influencer, forget the individual, just browse and talk about cool shit and whoever says something good, that's good. that's what I liked about reddit, back when I actually liked reddit. I haven't found many people I want to follow, and I'm not really looking.

I've been enjoying new clothes, and experimenting them with fun ways, so much lately that I need to keep reminding myself of this. Not every excursion outside needs to be fresh and new and experimental. If I am going out and I need a warm sweater and I need my sneakers and I already have a fit in mind with those pieces, I can just wear it, I don't need to reinvent the wheel every time.
