I'm not a vegetarian by any means, but madeline is and we're betrothed and live together. So I try to limit how much meat I cook and eat because its just easier when sharing a meal/kitchen, especially during the week. And it honestly saves me a bunch of money and I feel infinitely better after having some veggies and such.
I prefer venison or bison as opposed to beef because I believe red meat makes my brain function better (as someone who has various mineral deficiencies) but I don’t want to eat beef because I’m tired of it.
I also am allergic to cow dairy so I wonder if there is something to be said for taking an all around break from cows. This week, I made a venison and oyster-mushroom curry with smoked cardamon rice, sheep’s milk raita, and cilantro sprouts ♥️
this weekend a man on the bridge dropped his airpods so i picked them up for him then on his run back when he passed me he smiled and waved because we were microfriends. i will never see him again but we had our moment i just made this term up but it feels right to describe a nice little fleeting human connection drop your microfriendship stories/recs
