sorry i have to do a second rec because this place is my personal heaven!! located in the heart of chinatown, this little mall has multiple sanrio shops, also other cutesy and anime merch stores. these are mostly concentrated in the basement level. there is also an art gallery, some clothing stores, a pharmacy, and a skincare/makeup shop. i get all my gifts here, and always end up taking a little something for myself home! i have brought sooo many friends to this mall because it's such a fun way to spend part of your day.
For my fellow Sanrio heads, THIS is the spot to get all your Sanrio goods from! Take the escalator down to enter cute heaven! One of the lil shops also sells a whole lotta Miffy goods too.
people think to check out book stores, cafes, thrift stores when exploring your own/ other cities but toy stores are underappreciated! The best ones I’ve seen were in Amsterdam. you would be surprised what cute souvenirs and trinkets you can find there!
Get ready for big thrills in the smallest scale imaginable. Enter into the only shop in Manhattan that sells exclusively doll house miniatures. Plates of charcuterie, wooden magazine racks and sewing machines that actually work (!) all at a 12 to 1” scale. Also walking distance from Central Park :-)
i have my dream job, live in my dream city, love my friends, love my wardrobe, love my apartment... sometimes the bliss hits me all at once. i have so much to be grateful for!! :'3
