people think to check out book stores, cafes, thrift stores when exploring your own/ other cities but toy stores are underappreciated! The best ones Iāve seen were in Amsterdam. you would be surprised what cute souvenirs and trinkets you can find there!
Theyāre a Danish retailer (a chain but still cute) with stores in Tokyo, Paris etc. I found their linear store concept cool and they have quirky seasonal items and pretty much everything from board games to journals to mini vending machines which you can buy and fill up with your own candy and keep on your desk for example!

They are honor and celebrate peoples lives so beautifully and often offer insight. This one at the Brooklyn botanic gardens lilac collection is such a sweet nod to a fellow lilac lover and if you arenāt looking closely you might miss it!
Art criticism has its place but nothing stinks more than recommending a movie to someone and them saying ābut it has a low IMDB ratingāā¦ maybe itās just ahead of its time. maybe itās misunderstood. Maybe itās perfectly low brow.
