Short story I hesitate to say too much about because I don’t want to spoil it. Basically is about a wealthy young girl and her relationship with her mother… It’s got some surprises in it. Really fun and easy to read

you can read this in an afternoon (i think it is around 60 pages) and it is so funny, sneakily at first and then sort of uproariously. giving you any more plot would spoil it.

Smart and sharply paced — unlike any other book I’ve read.

Mother!!!!! I’ve orbited Edith for years (trusted friends love her work and I’ve been too lazy to read) but never committed. A friend sent me her short story, "Roman Fever" this weekend and I finally acquiesced because it was only 11 pages. The TWIST! I was genuinely left mouth agape. She nails interpersonal relationships and the inner workings of the female mind with precision. I’m reading House of Mirth now and having a grand ole time.

as we all (pi fyi users) know, being into shit is cool. i’ve been thinking about how in the early days of facebook rather than liking pages you would “become a fan” of them and i just love that verbage. so sweet and precious

it’s nice to have a forced walk in the morning before work and it’s not really of shame if you’re in love
