Smart and sharply paced — unlike any other book I’ve read.

you can read this in an afternoon (i think it is around 60 pages) and it is so funny, sneakily at first and then sort of uproariously. giving you any more plot would spoil it.

Short story I hesitate to say too much about because I don’t want to spoil it. Basically is about a wealthy young girl and her relationship with her mother… It’s got some surprises in it. Really fun and easy to read

Esoteric and witty, The Last Samurai is about an American in London trying to raise her prodigy son on her own. Every week she shows him Kurosawa’s The Seven Samurai in hopes that he will gain a positive male influence through these seven role models. I loved The English Understand Wool by DeWitt. So far this book is just as good… I can’t get enough of her writing!

In fact they’re working against you, especially women of colour. 84% of Tinder users are men, Bumble’s earnings have gone down hugely since its IPO (thereby further increasing their need to make a profit off subscriptions), Hinge is hiding hot people behind a paywall. People are sick of getting lovebombed and ghosted. But we don’t need them—there’s more to life than apps—and people are beginning to seek connections in person again.
