in 1960 my grandparents were farmers so they had plenty to do and when it was too cold to do those things they got really good at crafts like embroidery, needlepoint, sewing, baking, fixing things, reading. idk pretend there’s a power outage and see what you gravitate to?

Find me tinkering with your clocks or repairing the sole of your shoe or sculpting your pots! I’d have some kind of specialized skill that’s useful to the people around me. My father taught me the trade and his father taught him and his father’s father taught that father, etc.

i have two under two and i’ve never felt more vulnerable or in love with the world despite the calamities! i’ve never had more empathy or patience or compassion for all living things! i’m also so tired and hormonal rn so don’t make any rash decisions but so far it’s working for me ☆ ps. pregnancy and labor and delivery physically went very smoothly for me. i had freaky ppd the first time around but so far this time is just overwhelmingly wonderful?? results may vary.
