at this fun place rn where once i ordered a tequila old fashioned w brown butter infused tequila and these crazy bitters and i had a Ratatouille moment where it tasted EXACTLY like the summer camp i worked at but not like the food or anything but the memory of the Dining Hall. To a tee. i ordered it again later that night
because i shouldn't have to pay $17 for a fun little drink, but i still want an elevated drinking experience. this weekend i made fresh ginger syrup and it was so good. liquor + sweet + acid + liqueur is the best formula
having this for the first time was a paradigm shift - I love martinis and love tequila and didn’t have any way of marrying them but this is a prime example Equal parts tequila, dry vermouth, and curaçao blend (they use 50/50 Combier & Naranja) They also make a great wedge salad come try if you’re in SA
