Pretty tame but kind of cute - I had a coffee date with this guy off grindr. I was so nervous and my mouth was so dry I couldnāt properly eat my bagel, but I was hungry, so I started ripping it into smaller pieces which also helped me relax. By the end of it I had a pile of uneaten torn up bagel pieces in front of me lol
the date started as getting coffee but she mentioned having a paper due and weāre both in grad school so she said we could do a fun coffee/study date and have ācute banterā in between working. we ended up going long stretches of time not talking because she was very focused on her paper, but the talking that did happen wasnāt what I would call cute. she kept saying āliterally peed my diaperā to say that she was excited, and at one point she left to take a phone call and like gargoyle squatted down in the grass. when she came back she went into detail about some family drama she heard from the phone call. overall just very weird vibes, when I described it to friends later I said she gave Gayle from Bobās Burgers vibes, she even kind of looked like her. iām tryna find me a Linda tho. hereās the recreation of the phone call pose I did later when I was at the same coffee shop with friends describing the date
i felt so wiped i considered cancelling the first date i scheduled with a girl. but i made a couple cups of coffee, showered, powered through. and we collaged the whole night away, talking and laughing and staying up til we fell asleep together on my couch at 5AM. her voice is so lovely. i havenāt felt so Myself with someone new in so long.
This morning I had a date for the first time in a million years and I was scared and hadnāt slept so I called my friend crying and together we talked whilst I got ready. We agreed that I would just do my best and accept whatever happened even if it was weird or embarrassing because itās fine to do things scared. Then I walked out the front door in my cute little outfit with my hair and makeup done like nothing whatsoever was wrong and I had that damn date and it was kinda stilted and he didnāt text me after but it was essentially fine šš»
