Simply one of the best written and acted plays I’ve seen last year. I came for the Succession hype and left as a Sydney Lemmon fan.

My friend’s stepson was super involved in producing this play when it was off Broadway; now it’s been promoted to The Show (Helen Hayes Theatre). Incredible to think he just turned 30. I sure as hell wasn't producing a Broadway show back then!
It concerns Jane (a traumatized content moderator working in the Bay for an unnamed tech company, played with panache by Sydney Lemmon, Jack’s granddaughter) and her assigned therapist Loyd (starring Peter Friedman of “Succession” fame) - 90 minutes, just the two of them on stage, deep in dialogue about the mental hazards of her job and the relative remove of his professional “connecting trauma A to trauma D.” She’s a Zoomer, he’s a Boomer. Add tension. Stir.
Having spent the last decade living in Berkeley working in tech, this is all pretty on-the-nose for me.
I loved it. There’s quite a plot twist here too. Go see it before it closes in September! The play’s the thing.

So funny and so moving, made me ask Sophie if this is what theatre is like because if it is I love it. About endings but in a really genuine and approachable way, amazing performers &writers

I haven’t seen a refreshing new play in a while. I went to see this with my mom last night after a long week, and awkwardly sat thru the 2 hours of v4gina-related comedy… More than that, though, was a really beautiful bittersweet play that I thoroughly enjoyed. I love live theatre!!!

Like come on. Is anyone really doing it like Caroline Polachek right now? This track is the synth ballerina chaotic subway anthem of my dreams. Just when I thought Desire couldn’t get any better, and nothing could rescue me from the singledom of V-day. Love 💋

I call this the giggles. Just perfect for a cute early evening catch up w college friends at a cozy bar during the cold where u make plans for a spring break and basking in the sunlight. A Gimlet feels like a little taste of that joy
