G-Mod is a sandbox game (which according to steam i wasted 1200+ hours of my childhood playing ) in where the base game there is no objective at all, but upon this base people mod & create online server game modes which span everything you can imagine from - Prop Hunt, City Roleplay/DarkRP (which was what I played the most of), Military RP, to even some weird ass servers like My Little Pony RP, Mexican Border RP, and Nazi Germany RP. Its easily one of the most toxic game communities I can think of. My favorite things to do were joining CityRP servers becoming president and turning the server into some sort of extreme fascist state and change all the server laws to shit like “Being Outside During Lockdown = Kill on Sight” or would join extremely serious roleplay servers such as “HARRY POTTER RP SERVER (SERIOUS ROLEPLAY ONLY)” and see how long i could fuck with people and break the server rules before getting banned.

Just randomly came up on my recommended page and clicked in it for something to play in the background while doing the dishes. ended up getting way more emotional than I thought. it’s pretty much a video about YouTuber globert playing a dying game for 30 days and really showcases the communities of ol’ that we lost when the internet became more centralised. watching globert interact with this small community of dedicated players to a game that is boarder-line lost to time really made me long to what the internet used to be, People trying to make real connections in a virtual spaces. give it a watch.

pathologic 2 is a horror-themed role-playing game from an indie russian game developer; i got very interested in it during the pandemic but dont enjoy actually playing horror games, only watching, so this play through consumed most of my days/nights. info from wikipedia: Pathologic 2 takes place in a small town on the steppe only referred to as the Town on the Gorkhon River, or simply "the town." The culture of the town is a fusion of 20th century technology and architecture with ancient steppe culture and traditions, which bring about customs that greatly affect the course of events in the town. Though the exact location and date are never mentioned, it is very heavily implied by character dialogue and environment clues that the game is set during the Russian Civil War.[6][7] The world of Pathologic 2 leans heavily into the surreal, meta-commentary and symbolism, frequently making discerning what is fiction and what is "reality" difficult. The events in the town are framed as a play in the style of Bertolt Brecht's "epic theatre," where the player is an "actor" "playing the part" of the player character. The player's "reality" often comes into contact with this framing, with theater-like elements such as spotlights, "scene changes" between day and night and a disembodied stagehand-like voice appearing intermittently throughout the game. At certain points, such as during plays performed in the town's theater or after the player's death, the player encounters the mysterious and supernaturaltheater director Mark Immortell, who is often critical of the player's "acting" and frequently breaks the fourth wall, referring to the game's development, referencing the mechanics and inner workings of the game's systems and referencing events or aspects from the original Pathologic, both contextually and literally. —- there’s a lot to be said about the detail and mechanics of this game. i didn’t think games could be so referential, atmospheric, etc. before finding out this existed. i don’t love that i spent time i could have used to, like, better myself watching hours of this shit but whatever - i remember it fondly.

4-HO-MET is a lesser known psychedelic, basically imagine acid but only visual, being pretty much completely mentally sober and only lasting like an hour or two. Perfect to take for a singular experience instead of having to dedicate an entire day to some shit that lasts like 7 hours. I call the usage of this substance “Popping a Blu-ray” or “Taking HBO Max” because it just makes everything instantly cinematic as fuck for no reason. Highly recommend doing this and going to some sort of museum of natural science, maybe the funniest experience of my life.

Normalize stepping on the backs of peoples heels who walk too fucking slow. Unless your going on a romantic or reflective stroll or some shit and you fully have the ability to fast walk hurry the fuck up. Imagine the entirety of society fast walking like a plug on their way to make a sale by foot.

Gantz was the first manga I ever read as a child and after recently rewatching and rereading it never realized how much it rubbed off on my personality. I strongly believe it is something you should not die without reading I wouldn't really know how to start describing it I would just go read it, you can easily find it online by searching “Gantz Scans Online”. I would highly recommend completely avoiding the Live Action & CGI adaptations, as well as (while very good) avoiding the anime until you read the books a bit.
