Lots of good recs on stretching and strengthening so far, but it's worth mentioning the unexpected effects prolonged stress can have on the body (like how jaw clenching and TMJ or headaches are related). Some do this through meditation and body scanning, but finding ways to cope with stress in general can help in addition to the other physical remedies.

take a moment to identify which bit of the body is holding the most anxiety, and then massage or hold or rub that spot for a while. for me it's usually my arms, and rubbing them like i'm trying 2 warm up helps so so much. also just finding physical ways 2 release the energy that might have built up - singing, dancing, gently tapping your temples, rolling around in bed & kicking all ur limbs around the place....... good @ tiring you out 2 if you're aiming 2 get 2 sleep soon!!!

hi there i'm sorry things have not been kind to u lately. whenever we engage in high stress situations it's very important to bring your body back down once it's all over. while i don't always like to suggest a material solution, acupressure mats have done wonders for me when my body feels tense or stagnant. i like to lay on the spiky mat for a good 20 minutes and maybe do a little meditation while i'm in that position. look into it i really recommend! if the acupressure mat isn't for you, breath work and meditation is always a great option to ground yourself again. there are so many different methods for breath work and different meditations so i'm not sure what would work best for u but i promise incorporating these things into your daily routine, even if it's just 10 min a day, will make u feel worldsss better.

Jaw pain possibly caused by intensely frowning and clenching at all my problems was ruining my life a tiny bit. Massaging the temple above the painful side of my jaw daily and convincing myself to smile and release the tension in my eyebrows has helped. Pro is that when you are consistently rubbing your temple in public you look like youโ€™re solving a tricky thermodynamics equation or some equally thoughtful activity. If this is you, it also helps to sleep on your back so your teeth canโ€˜t grind as easily.

Here it is, folks! Volume I of what could very well be a continuous project. Thank you so much to everyone that submitted - I smiled the entire time I was putting this together. It's best listened to with headphones โ˜บ๏ธ Liner Notes: This collection of field recordings is a collaborative effort with users of PI.FYI, each of which recorded their own pieces. It features audio from all over the world and exhibits eclectic moments from London Underground commutes to cuckoo bird calls in Dhaka to the sounds of a century-old American diner. Online communities like PI.FYI often represent a diverse set of people, places, and experiences, but together, the submissions form a living collage that highlights the commonalities of modern life - a unifying message for such a tumultuous time. The first track features all of the sounds played at once in an attempt to create an audio snapshot of an online community but in their offline lives. The individual recordings are unedited except for minor gain and compression adjustments for consistency across the collection.
