Some already recc’d but re-reccing anyway. All are low stakes watering hole vibes. Aka my vibe generally

People watching at Venice Beach + Zebulon different crowds, kinda of similar energy tbh Johnny's Pastrami in West Adams a pastami burger and an ice cold diet coke after a long day is honestly the most perfect meal any one could ask for Pirate Studio Open Decks (at the end of every month) great people, great music. Alamo Drafthose DTLA + Los Feliz 3 as I get older, I become more of a hater of mainstream theaters. Delicious Pizza (West Adams + Hollywood) It's name should be all the explanation you need (just don't get the wings) ChiChi's (K-Town) An introverts nightmare, an extroverts dream. Thai Angel Small bar, awesome people, greater food

temescal lake and reinhardt redwood park if you want to stroll🚶‍♀️or just lounge in a meadow. ain’t normal and mother tongue for coffee and cocktails/wine, snail bar and north light for drinks/vibes, +1 to spectator for books, the wardrobe project for cheap but GOOD vintage (rare these days…), hudson bay for eavesdropping and good sandwiches, YOGURT PARK and top dog for froyo and hot dog bang bang ‼️ (can’t believe u didn’t mention trappedinabody…but i suppose that is technically berkeley)…and DAYTRIP, neecha thai, belotti ristorante e bottega for food

jazz and coffee at cafe international, beers at noc noc, martinis at zam zam, horsies market and saloon for cozy wine vibes. bimbo’s and the chapel for shows. doesn’t rly matter what u see, just gorgeous venues. el buen sabor and senor sisig for burritos. city lights and dog-eared for books…public works and make out room for dj sets and dancing. the roxie and alamo drafthouse for movies - kind of fun to order a glass of wine for 1million american dollars!! hike lands end to baker beach or bike golden gate to ocean beach if ur feeling flirty :)))) WEAR LAYERS!

It’s Friday night and I’m off work late with no plans but I felt like being out in the world, even if for a moment. Turns out, a low stakes glass of orange wine tastes great when you’re waiting for a $10 burrito platter from down the street.

I’ve spent so much time scrolling on this app that I’m able to discern some of your writing voices. There are a couple of you who have such a developed voice that I can guess you wrote a post before seeing the attached username. You’re all so observant, introspective, delusional, earnest, anxious, well-rounded, hilarious and loving. Kind of breaks my heart that I’ll likely never meet some of my favorites because we all live everywhere, but I guess that’s why we thank God for the Internet!

I‘ve always been an adamant listener of music while on walks, at a cafe, etc. but recently I’ve feeling more anxious, more disconnected than usual. Not listening to music has helped me feel significantly more grounded, more aware of my surroundings, connected to the world around me. Also, strangers will definitely be more inclined to speak to you if they know you can hear them. If you’re into that sort of thing.
