I feel like everyone should do their yearly rebrand. Not in a corny way “new year, new me” way. I look at life through the lens of a popstar. Popstars I grew up listening to had different looks for different eras. That’s what I base my version of rebranding on. Life is performance. Performance is art. Art is self. LOL

I change my appearance multiple times a year. I cut my hair and dye it. I try new styles. I get tattoos and piercings. I try new food. I do things for ME. I want to find my true self and interests and each day I get closer to who I really want to be. I feel I learn something new about myself everyday even if it’s small. (I’m depressed + anxious too and it can be so hard but I remind myself that I can’t care about everyone else and their opinions I need to do what is right for me. and no it is not selfish to do things for you).

Honestly the best way to reinvent yourself is just to live. Being in a new place with new people will expose you to so many amazing things you never would have been aware off if you stayed at home.
Big tip is to just try things, figure out what you like without the pressure of feeling like you have to keep up a performance! try new outfit styles, new hair do, new clubs and hobbies just get out there and experience everything!
It’s freeing I can promise you. Slightly scary at times but the best thing I was ever told was feel the fear and do it anyway.

This is one of my favorite albums of all time! I listen to it at least twice a week. I recommend anyone who wants to feel like an action hero (or villain) for the next couple hours to listen to it. I miss albums like these that feel like blockbuster soundtracks. The brutal rave production, the in-your-face vocals, the mix of underground grit with a high-gloss pop finish on top… bring back cinematic rave music!
