i just think she has the perfect voice for this!!! she covered the magnetic fields on this release too. a lot of her early work includes covers that i thought were originals for a few weeks (liz phair, the weepies, etc). she also covered Maps more recently, as did raffaella/hippo campus, which i also recommend
samia is one of my fave current artists she has such a singular sound ! love her lyricism on this album excited to review it on my yt channelll (link in bio i think hehe)
the original charm you by samia is sooo good her voice is amazing but the cover by blondshell itching a certain part of my brain that literally canβt be beaten its sooooo good
i only really remember how different her approach is when i listen to the original again but i loveeeee the indie rock twist on it espec the guitar bits between verses
