If youāve never listened to Aesop Rock, itāll most likely sound like harsh noise to you the first few listens, but boy does his music reward you the more you listen.
This isnāt background music, listening is WORK- rewarding work. Once your ear gets used to it youāre in for a treat. āBlack Snowā is my current favorite on this album.
I recommend patiently making your way through all his work if youāre a rap/poetry/word fanā¦ you will get stuck on specific songs for a while since there is SO much being said in every.single.word.
Best lyricist of our generation and I donāt think anyone disputes that.
And an added bonus- his vast vocabulary will make you smarter as you listenš¤

my younger brother is obsessed with him and for the longest time it was all that he listened to and I didnāt get it. to be fair his early stuff can be a bit rough, but heās only improved as an artist over the years. his lyrics are also increasingly comprehendible which helps. I took my brother to a concert of his a while back and the energy was insane. now I can appreciate how hype his music is and its uniqueness in the rap world, def the best of the rage type stuff thatās big right now. linked my fav song of his rn, I think itās the best example of his new era with less repetitive production, actual hooks and structure, and decent lyrics

some rap songs and voir dire are masterworks of flow and lyricism and they just sound fucking good. feet of clay is good also but depressing and sick is good too but idk doesnāt flow as well as those two records. also he had verse of the year on words2liveby by el cousteau. incredible artist

i have been OBSESSED with this album recently. i literally canāt listen to anything but this album. basketball shoes, good will hunting, chaos space marine, and the place where he inserted the blade are PERFECT songs. snow globes and concorde are also so incredible. such gorgeous lyricism, incredible vocals, and the songs just sound so good. please do urself a favor and listen to this masterpiece as soon as possible. u will not regret it.

There are SO many great series out here these days, and this isnāt anything new or groundbreaking, but Iāve been watching Adventure Time since I was a little kid- I have watched it in full dozens of times at least.
Iām amazed every viewing at how I am able to understand new profound themes along with new levels of silliness.
The creator is basically a genius and I think itās one of the most beautiful and underrated cartoons everrrrr
