Having a separate account that you can’t easily take money out of and having a percentage of your paycheck auto-deposit into that is a good way to start saving.

Open up a savings account. Automatically put X amount of your paycheck aside each pay period. It does not have to be a lot. The trick for me is that I don’t even see it and if I don’t see it, it’s essentially not there.

Open a high yield savings account - you get an, obvs, super high interest rate, which is a great incentive to put money in there. Either direct a percentage of your paycheck in there, or transfer money in there immediately after you get paid. Great place to house your emergency fund (3-6 months of expenses) because it’s easily accessible.
There are lots of books on saving for retirement- I recommend the simple path to wealth because it’s easy to understand, required very few action items, the author crunches the numbers while he’s explaining things, and you don’t have to be someone obsessed with savings and personal finance to benefit from it, like me!

There are so many variables from person to person that there isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution, but automatically having money taken from your bank and put into an investment account or retirement account can work for most people.
It could be an IRA, a Vanguard account, or even an online savings account separate from your regular bank account.
If you are paid by direct deposit, you might be able to have some of your pay go directly to this account, too.

Also try to use a debit card instead of credit. PayPal, Apple Pay, etc make it easy and secure.

This collection of field recordings is a collaborative effort with users of PI.FYI, each of which recorded their own pieces. It features audio from all over the world and exhibits eclectic moments from London Underground commutes to cuckoo bird calls in Dhaka to the sounds of a century-old American diner.
Online communities like PI.FYI often represent a diverse set of people, places, and experiences, but together, the submissions form a living collage that highlights the commonalities of modern life - a unifying message for such a tumultuous time. The first track features all of the sounds played at once in an attempt to create an audio snapshot of an online community but in their offline lives.
The individual recordings are unedited except for minor gain and compression adjustments for consistency across the collection.
