1969 Nina album where she covers the Bee Gees (title track), Leonard Cohen’s “Suzanne,” the Beatles’ “Revolution” and several Bob Dylan songs (her “Just Like Tom Thumbs Blues” might be my favorite cover of a Bob song from anyone).
She and her band just sound amazing.
I literally cannot put down the cup. Jeff Buckley is such a BEAUTIFUL soul and watching his interviews bring tears to my eyes. He constantly knew what to say and almost exactly how to convey and express exactly how he felt.
if the Spanish language got one thing right, it’s inverted question/exclamation marks. ¡They are perfect and tell you what to expect from a sentence! I think all languages should adopt them.
I need to take my own advice… I will often meet people and the lovely things about them stick out to me — be it their laugh, the way they wear their hair, maybe a particular piece of clothing — and I really want to compliment them but the words are like peanut butter in my mouth and I can’t spit it out! I mean every now and again I remember a compliment I’ve gotten and am all 🤭 over it. I need to put that good energy back into the world!!!
