in which american hero and vox alum joss fong (and adam cole who i am less familiar with) explore the ways that orgs are trying to create ways to verify that images are not AI-generated.
they keep the mood light and upbeat but BOY does it show how the media landscape is cooked as hell right now. it really underscores that you can't simply rely on technology to build and maintain public trust

sensational and illuminating article from the guardian detailing some of the funding of the rise of rightwing extremism online. i think the most intersting/important bit of it is that to increase their reach, they present "impartial" look at controversial discourse but with alt right undertones as well as legitimising themselves with cosigns from more mainstream writers.

I need to share this list I made because it is such a blessing to me that I can just open youtube or vimeo and watch these lovely little movies. there’s a range of them like bergman, tarkovsky, polish films, art-house, weird matthew gray gubler short, experimental horror, short films from the 20’s. how fun.
