Oh that 5 year old me, sneaking books under her covers with a blues clues flashlight that turned off every five minutes automatically with an audible “doh duh dog duh doh duh dohhh… DUH DOH!”, could see me now: feeling violent amounts of shame for being on my phone at 3 in the morning. YOU ARE USING YOUR FREEDOM AS PER THE MISSION!!! She would say, and I try to agree. I hope she’s proud of me even when I can’t find the way to be. I know I feel that way about her.
