Was a hobby as a teenager and took many years off. Bought a used board a couple seasons ago and it’s been my winter savior. Dedicated myself to it, got more comfortable and I’m actually ripping it up now, no longer feeling nervous and just going for it. Moguls, trees, winding trails, bombing down hills. Feels great and so fun.
I started going to the gym this semester and i recently started skateboarding and its been so awesome. it can be difficult to start learning a new thing but dude… don‘t limit yourself.
every since i got my first real skateboard at a santa cruz demo in columbus ohio at dodge skatepark i was hooked. not only endless trips and adventures with friends learning how to navigate life and live how you want. such a cool thing to learn that inadvertently teaches you perseverance and encourages independence. it’s something that’s hard to get if you never loved it, and i don’t think i’ll ever stop loving it.
some people go their whole lives without experiencing something they want to do or allowing themselves to try something. the rules are made up. you are not too old for anything
