Slow Train Coming, Saved, Shot of Love All pretty good to great. People get caught up on some weird production choices, and the in-your-face sincerity. And maybe there are moments of condescension and righteous anger.… but I’m not religious and I think “Every Grain of Sand,” and “Pressing On” are some of the best things he ever wrote. Plus I really love “Heart of Mine”

A mixed bag

I’ve been listening to a lot of Dylan, folk, Nora Guthrie, some gospel, whatever’s on the radio. A lot of new Bad Bunny as well! Friends of mine also just put out their album so I’ve been hearing a lot of it of course - this track in particular which I really love.

this album sounds utterly exhausted. so many ugly, raw moments. haunting. beautiful. rips my soul open and shows it to the world ✌️ are you convinced to listen to it yet? anyways peace out also would hate listening to this album if john never got clean. but hearing this and his 2004 release Shadows Collide With People back to back is an interesting experience. he has overcome so much personally/professionally. very cool to witness sonically
