Another one of my fav songs!!! I personally have things against Mat Cothran, but that's a whole other thing 😭he has so many projects, and even though elvis depressedly is my least fav, this whole album goes crazyyyyy! I remember when Depressedelica came out during the pandemic... I would just rot in bed and smoke weed and listen to music. Maybe it was cause I was super high, but this album blew my mind 🤯 Listen to the song Chariot off this album too, it's sooo good!!!!

🎧I know all these other recs were calming and mindful, but I thought I would put this out there cause I’m crazy obsessed. I’ve been his BIGGEST fan for a couple of years now, and knowing there’s more music coming up is the light of my life. If you have a minute, go listen to his new song basic being basic. If you have more than just a minute I would recommend listening to his other albums twenty twenty, and decide. On a broader note, go find new music! A fresh playlist always cheers me up.

Slow Train Coming, Saved, Shot of Love
All pretty good to great. People get caught up on some weird production choices, and the in-your-face sincerity. And maybe there are moments of condescension and righteous anger.… but I’m not religious and I think “Every Grain of Sand,” and “Pressing On” are some of the best things he ever wrote. Plus I really love “Heart of Mine”

🤣I was inspired by a Righteous Gemstones quote, and now instead of saying gossip and lies, I've been using sayings like telling fables, tall tales, making dubious claims etc .. Yesterday my friend dropped "Yo bro you're peddling falsehoods right now" and it fucking killed me I don't know why this is so funny to me I woke up laughing about it. Anyways
