I had to read it for class, so to finish it in time meant blazing through 989 pages in the 7 days of spring break and I do not recommend that pace for this particular book 🫠
That said, it was more interesting (and funny, in places) than I expected. 👀 It’s so thicc and the large cast of characters can be challenging to keep track of, but if you’re into that sort of thing and want to read a Victorian classic that helped establish the detective novel genre, go for it!
