this was before i was a huge alex g fan so hearing gretel live when i wasn’t really familiar with it kind of changed something in me…i did a voice recording on my phone and i go back and listen to it sometimes…it was incredible. and big thief is always an amazing show no matter what.

saw gus dapperton live at paradise fest knowing only a couple of songs and having zero knowledge of what to expect. to say i was flabbergasted is an understatement. insanely energetic stage presence, but so effortlessly cool at the same time…like he was just so chill to talk to. gus please save some coolness for the rest of us! anyways this has been on repeat since then

I have so many I can list but since I see porches is guesting here right now…
Went to see Alex G for the first time with some buddies at a great little (250-cap) venue. Hadn’t heard of Porches. They came on and immediately my ears perked up – one of the very few times I was really grabbed by a band I wasn’t familiar with. The mood was enveloping and softly insisted on your focus. Pool became a 2016 classic for me right after that show!
