I live in bushwick and for years I suffered through using the local walgreens. They genuinely never had my meds, always had crazy lines, and don't have enough staff to have anyone on the phone to help you, just overall miserable. I switched to a nearby family-owned pharmacy and I am never looking back--they're SO responsive, scripts ready in an hour every time, always able to answer questions, and they have little candies up front.
If you have an old-timey soda fountain pharmacy near you you’re very lucky. Get your pills, get your shots, get a milkshake, one million times chiller than CVS. (Shout out to Fairley’s in NE Portland)
thank you, my psychiatrist, for telling me that i can experience different side effects on the same meds depending on what generic the pharmacy uses (ie what’s cheapest for them to buy) ❤️american healthcare❤️
