I like to underline great writing, dog ear the corners, define words I don't know and if I want to get extra academic, use a highlighter. I'll also draw little things to accent something to remember or something fascinating. I’ve never read on a Kindle. I like paper because it’s tangible and interactive. I bought the book, I want to use the book.

that's exactly how i feel! i feel like if i spend too much brain space wanting to preserve something that can never be perfect, untouched once u crack open a fresh book, i'll go crazy.. a worn book is a loved book i think (: !

My friend/sister Rapha inherited some of my precious books when I moved to Portugal, and reminded me last week of my scribbles as she picked up Alexandra Coelho to read. It's nice for friends because they get a glimpse of what moved you, a little snippet of your soul. It's nice for yourself as book owner because using a pen or highlighter is psychopath behaviour

a study issued last month found that dancing is the most effective way of treating and mitigating depression. Walking, therapy, and yoga also outpaced SSRIs. and if you're saying 'oh this was probably funded by Big Dance', there's no evidence of that and if you're saying 'that's just what a Big Dance shill would say', well honey you're right
