A gorgeous silly movie about a weird, probably neurodivergent Italian lass who can’t hang, wears the same outfit every day, loves the movies and is obsessed with her neighbor’s horse and saving up all her grocery store points for an electric fan. Margarita Missoni plays her sister, and it’s a perfect 95 minutes long.
I am so excited for this movie to hit theaters. I’ve been a fan of Mikey Madison since Better Things and word is she will be getting her Oscar nomination for this role! It won the Palme d'Or at Cannes this year so you KNOW it’s good. It’s also directed by the same person who made Florida Project (a happy-sad cry movie that movie was shot so beautifully)
This movie is like a perfect representation of my own fears about immigration and trying to become an artist in any sense. I needed this movie so badly! Julio Torres you're gonna be big, kid! Also Tilda Swinton!
I love this -- it sounds good in Spanish ("cuidate") too.
Maybe it's just age, but I've become fond of telling people to "be good."
It's intentionally vague -- it could just be a grammatically poor version of "be well"
Or it could be a suggestion to behave yourself (ish).
It doesn't explain itself and that's my favorite part.
It might be the most middle-aged thing I’ve ever done, but I joined a dragon boat paddling team with a bunch of teachers and I’m obsessed. The boats look like carousel animals! So many magical things about paddling in sync with 30 other people, being out on the water, seeing eagles and blue herons, plus a core workout as good as the Pilates reformer. It’s the freaking best!
