Not simple but when I do take the time to make these recipes they’re insanely unique and delicious. Also a great story, I don’t actually read the not cooking part of cook books much but I recommend this one.
No screens just vibes
I like to play ambient tunes and not look at a single screen while I cook a feast for like two hours it feels so good after a long day
I made albondigas from the Rick martinez cookbook and rice from the Enrique Olvera cookbook and both were rly good btw
a great way to start integrating recipes in a low stress way and thinking creatively about food while relaxing 😌
I was reading *A Painter's Kitchen: Recipes from the Kitchen of Georgia O'Keeffe* before bed recently and it contains little anecdotes about O’Keeffe from her assistant at the time. In it she says that O’Keeffe would also read cookbooks before bed and that they’re “good company,” so I knew I was on the right track at least in this part of my life.
Ask friends to bring their friends, then you meet those peoples friends, then you meet those people’s friends, etc. follow up with connections you make platonic & romantic. I believe in you 🫡
I’ve been working in the service industry for like 13 years and nightlife for over 5. I decided in 2019 to go back to school and this past December I graduated. I just got a part time gig in my field but the pay is really good and I can finally see myself getting out of working 9-4am.
The last three years have been the hardest of my life and when I tell you I SOBBED after I got this fucking part time job. I’ve never had a desk job so I’m incredibly nervous but so excited. Anything is possible! I don’t believe in my career being my life but I do believe in having a job that doesn’t make you not want to be alive!
