So Osiris was this really loved god-king in ancient Egypt. His brother Set got jealous, killed him, and literally cut him into pieces. It should’ve been the end—but it wasn’t.
His wife, Isis, didn’t give up. She searched all over Egypt, found every part of him, and through this deep, sacred kind of magic and love, she brought him back to life.
He didn’t come back forever—just long enough to give her a son, Horus. Then he passed on, not into nothingness, but to become the god of the afterlife, guiding and judging souls with wisdom.
It’s kind of wild, because when you think about it... a god dies, is brought back, brings new life through a son, and rules over the dead?
