So Osiris was this really loved god-king in ancient Egypt. His brother Set got jealous, killed him, and literally cut him into pieces. It should’ve been the end—but it wasn’t. His wife, Isis, didn’t give up. She searched all over Egypt, found every part of him, and through this deep, sacred kind of magic and love, she brought him back to life. He didn’t come back forever—just long enough to give her a son, Horus. Then he passed on, not into nothingness, but to become the god of the afterlife, guiding and judging souls with wisdom. It’s kind of wild, because when you think about it... a god dies, is brought back, brings new life through a son, and rules over the dead?

I love symbolism !!! Like, yes I wanna read between the lines to some crazy backstory. The Origins mean everything. I want the signs to show themselves to me. I am ready.

This character from the Islamic soufi mysticism who makes some appearances in the Quran. Apparently they’re called the green because they would sit in a barren place and upon rising, grass and flowers would be set on the ground, they’re more than that of course.

When I was seven, an 80s movie aired on TV, and I watched it until my mom turned it off at bedtime. I cried, wanting to see the rest, but she refused, and I eventually fell asleep. The next day, I couldn’t remember the movie’s name, so I never finished it—until today. It aired again, and the experience was surreal; I remembered every detail and finally saw the ending.
