oatmeal

This is big for me because I’ve avoided oatmeal my whole life after decided it hurt my stomach. Recently, though? I am a changed woman. I’ve consumed some form of oats everyday for the past month. Usually for breakfast, I’ll add pumpkin seeds, ground flax, salt, honey, spinach, and an egg. I just finished my bowl this morning (that I added cardamom to!) and I can’t wait for tomorrow morning.

i am the #1 hater of american breakfast

i always had issue eating sweet and heavy things early in the morning bc they made me feel so sick and i basically had to force it down. i’ve said it here before but i love quesadillas in the morning bc they’re fairly quick yet so filling and give you so much energy. i also make baked pita “pizzas” w olive oil, feta, spinach, roasted peppers…honestly whatever i have in the fridge. i really love a good egg and french fry moment when im feeling lazy :) or leftover rice and beans. i always pair anything i eat with a hot tea or some kombucha for easy digestion.

i go to sleep practically convulsing with excitement that i get to eat my oatmeal in the morning i promise i have a deeply interesting life i really do but my oatmeal ritual has brought me a level of joy from the mundane i cannot fully comprehend
