Kind of a lie cause I did rewatch it once (when I was sick for some reason) and I cried so hard I couldnāt breathe. Beautiful movie, donāt regret seeing it and i probably will watch it again someday, when I have someone else to subject to the torture, but I think that day is far into my future. Itās one of studio Ghibliās best movies but its hard bringing yourself to watch something you know is so painful to see.When I watch it the moment I start crying I donāt stop till after itās over.

from gut wrenching to a light tug:
mustang (2015)- made me cry twice in one watch. (disclaimer: a lot of turkish people have mixed feelings abt how this movie represents turkish culture so watch with a grain of salt but also remember misogyny does in fact exist everywhere)
la chimera (2023)- there is a looming melancholy throughout the whole film but the last 30 minutes really did a number on me
thelma & louise (1991)- gut wrenching in a beautiful female friendship kinda way
lars and the real girl (2007)- the premise looks silly on paper and tbh it is but it still made me cry in the end nonetheless (maybe iām just a dweeb)
haru (1996)- early internet bonds. also more on the lighthearted side of things but tugs at the heart.

Hi! So I worked at Aesop for 2.5 years in Australia where the brand is from.
In complete honesty I would not recommend Aesop as a starting place to build your skincare routine.
The skincare range has a lot of essential oils, that unless your skin is quite robust, can be irritants to the skin. I am of the opinion that there are other brands that are more effective and well priced to get your skincare from.
If you are going to buy from Aesop, I would highly recommend their home, fragrance and body care ranges.

A really unique perspective on the fluidity of pain (primarily in relation to chronic illness) and navigating the shifting mindset to cope with the pain.
Also a really interesting take on āfriends for certain activitiesā - a friend you go to gigs with vs the friend you go for a morning jog with. How these friendships change us.
A fantastic quick read!

I like to mix up my vibe day to day - my current rotation has been the above three.
Could be light and fresh with Jo Malone one day.
Could be floral and musky with Glossier the next.
Could be woody and spicy with Aesop the following day.
