getting rid of stuff is a lot more complicated than acquiring it. better to practice austerity on the front-end imo.
this goes for anything, btw, not just new clothes or whatever. i also apply this mindset to friends, diseases, habits, sins, beliefs.......

streetair sometimes i have better luck giving it away for free on my local "buy nothing" group. that's less good for stuff that has legit value though

I do not need a new wardrobe, packing cubes, new toiletry bag, etc. I have everything I need. Reminding myself of this in the heat of the moment feels like coming down from a frenzy I never wanted to have in the first place.

i stopped watching the H3 podcast and you know what i’m not going to do? replace it with another too long podcast.
when i get rid of a shirt i don’t need to get a new shirt.
purging is good and doesn’t need to be followed up by more consumption
