when i was a kid i used to get a bowl of ice cream and eat it with an old tiny baby spoon from when i was a real baby. and it was like a ritualistic practice of enjoying my frozen little treat. highly recommend.
getting rid of stuff is a lot more complicated than acquiring it. better to practice austerity on the front-end imo.
this goes for anything, btw, not just new clothes or whatever. i also apply this mindset to friends, diseases, habits, sins, beliefs.......
