its definetly on the visually artistic side but it has very unsetteling and weird undertones. personally i would recomend you watch the 1977 version that was directed by Dario Argento first but if its not available the 2018 version is also very good :)
The OG is one of my favourite films ever, couldn't believe what I was watching the first time I saw it. But I also really really love Guadagnino's version, it's a totally different experience I think
i don't know how i got all these recommendations and then i went ahead and watched a movie that no one recommended but fits the brief i proposed.. i do really appreciate all of the answers i got and i'm so excited to get into all of them :D
regardless i thought i'd recommend this because i actually had a lot of fun watching it, the visuals are insanely cool and frankly, it's halloween, and this movie is kind of spooky. but it's more fun than spooky. so watch it if you haven't!! but you have probably already seen it ...
maybe i'll watch guadagnino's remake soon and see how they compare.
Suspiria is originally a horror movie from the 1970s that I am yet to watch, but the remake is one of my all-time favorites. If you can handle gore and a lingering sense of dread, this movie is for you. The aesthetics are on the darker side—the original seems to be much lighter in color—but the cinematography is still mind-blowing and beautiful. Additionally, the soundtrack/score is by Radiohead's Thom Yorke, and his calm music contradicts the horrific scenes playing before your eyes. It is really an adventure of a film. 11/10.
I'd always wanted to watch this but finally stumbled upon it when I was browsing kanopy the other day. This film is the most stunning thing I've ever watched. What Dario Argento does with color is incredible. I'm still thinking about some of these shots. also an enjoyable film as a whole, I was hooked from the beginning. p.s. if you're a big baby like me when it comes to horror, this one isn't bad because it was made before effects got too real
my therapist told me that no matter how much i want to blame other people for how they treat me i am still responsible for letting them treat me that way and the only change will come when i accept that i need to let them go.
Its English translation is but. however it’s use is more like the phrase uh-huh like when your arguing about if something is right or wrong and you go doch instead of making a point
