A documentary film that just shows the complexity of family relationships (particularly mother-daughter relationships) and deals with loss and many other themes. 100% recommend!!
i just watched this tonight. i screened it for silk movie night on discord and it was everything i had hoped it to be. peak summer vibes paired with friendship & heartbreak, being at life’s mercy with all it’s unexpected turns. go check it out, you won’t regret it.
This woman is a gem of a talent. Her acting is visceral, palpable, but most importantly, real. Her portrayal of Tina Marrero in The Bear feels more like you're watching a documentary of a real person than some one-dimensional sketch of a Spanish caricature. I am so freaking elated she's the first Latina to win a Best Supporting Actress Emmy for her performance on this show. She's a force of nature and makes me proud to be a Latina 💛
