followed one of those tiktok recipes to make a salad dressing from scratch with some Greek yogurt, lemon juice, whole grain mustard, honey, garlic and olive oil. Im Not the best at cooking so this accomplishment has had me on a rush the past two days. It’s a good a** dressing.

Most sauces/dressings are pretty simple recipes using super common ingredients you already have at home! Or, if you’re more lax like me, you can throw some veggies in a blender with a fatty liquid base and an acid like lemon juice and make your own variation of a green goddess that literally tastes amazing on anything. Making my own sauces has made me a much more confident home cook!!

I used to really hate salads. there was never any balance to them, too much lettuce or too much dressing to be enjoyable. But now I don’t. I think salads are a really unique way of cooking bc u kind of just mix a bunch of things together, but if they go together and there’s balance, you can achieve a cohesive flavor that tastes really really good. Yesterday I made one with cucumber, chickpeas, olives, mixed greens, granola, olive oil, and balsamic, and it one of the best things I’ve ever made.

I used to think only losers would pay for balcony seats at a concert venue instead of being up close but likeee the air ventilation is so much better and you dont get stomped on and there’s usually another bar up there so it’s a win all across the board 💋
