i also sometimes just let spotify do its thing while i’m working once a playlist is done and let it play all its recommended songs based on the playlist i was previously listening to

look up some of ur fav local venues/ bars! if they’re any good they’ll be promoting the bands playing. If a poster or band name catches my eye I’ll search them up on Spotify and throw a track or two on a playlist exclusively for this. From time to time, when I’m sick of my usual, I’ll throw this playlist on. If a song is good it goes onto a regular playlist :))

when you go onto an artist profile and scroll down a bit, some people/bands post a playlist or two of music that inspires them. it is so cool to hear what your favorites listen to. i have found some seriously good stuff by putting them on shuffle.

this is my favorite way to find new playlists– go to an artist's page that you like (ideally not extremely popular) and scroll down to the "discovered on" section, and it shows you playlists where people found this artist. i find so many great playlists from strangers on here (i avoid the spotify-made playlists like the plague, they feel soulless to me)
