Okay I'm glad someone else couldn't really get into them besides me. There's a few songs that I've liked, but overall I just couldn't get interested. I don't think it's a quality issue; it's probably just not my taste. I feel like I would have to be like laying in a field somewhere, in a very specific situation, for their music to click for me. Otherwise I'm never like "I'm in the mood for Adrianne Lenker right now." I don't think my mind is ever calm enough for their music to hold my attention, even if the lyrics are good, but that's a me problem.
woooah, I guess they are pretty serious but the last album has some lighthearted moments — dried roses, red moon, spud infinity kinda

slowdazzle for me it is less about music and just more about antics and the tenuous relationship with like music journalism/media - they have huge hearts and wear it on their sleeve, but they lay it on thick
