i love animated!
if you like psychological horror i would definitely recommend Psycho Pass!
its not a film but a great animated horror detective anime
fair warning it can be a bit gore-y
and i personally found the seasons after season 1 lack luster

Tokyo Ghoul is one of the coooolest animes that I wouldn’t necessarily call horror, but goes into some psychologically dark places. It’s on Hulu, absolutely loved this show.
I still think The Ring is all my time favorite horror movie. Early 2000’s, crime thriller energy but DEF will scratch the horror itch without some of the sexually disturbing stuff you often find with that combo

2 AMAZING limited series on HBO Max. Chernobyl is probably one of the most impressive and scary shows I’ve watched in a while. Watchmen is comic book related but you dont have to read it to get into it. Both offer different kinds of horror and drama. If you like anime watch the 2002 version of Ghost in The Shell Stand Alone Complex, Adult Swim provided partial funding for the show so you can watch it there. If HBO and The Wire’s David Simon ever made an anime it’s probably that.

Ok first off i did google "primal" bc i can never remember how to spell his name.
on my like 4th rewatch of season 1/1st full series rewatch. This is that shit dude. Absolutely brutal in all ways. Violent, atmospheric, terrifying, adventerous, beautiful, love full, wow. If you like animation, short list this and start it tonight. If you dont like animation, step out of your comfort zone and give it a try. Solidly one of the best western animations.

TW: drugs and psychosis
i was in active addiction 4 years ago and was going on a 4 day streak of a bender
where i decided to go to a party do meth (ik) and drink and smoke (more) weed
i was so out of it that when i had to leave
(never drive UTI) it looked like i was driving through a forest under water
when i got back to my friends place her mom said their family cat (who was v old) was dying and she wanted us to say good to him
when i looked at the cat it looked like it was turned inside out and its inside were rotting
i felt sick to my stomach and hid in her room where i began to question everything
what i had seen, what i was doing, and finally who i was and if the thoughts i had were mine or someone else's- it was a lot
it was from there i kinda realized there was more and now im here
sober and a changed woman
