finding this very charming and silly, perfect for an end of summer read. lesbian gets cancelled and has problems with her love life (of course!). relatable but maintains a slice of idealism because the protagonist lives in LA in a nice bungalow with a hot lady next door. recommended for misanthropic gay women who want a good laff

1. House on the cerulean sea ๐ This book is a great one to read going into spring. Itโs so heart warming!! it makes me feel so happy and ready to appreciate life.
2. The opposite of loneliness โ๏ธ this book is a collection of fiction and non fiction essays from a girl who died right after graduating. I really like her work, the fiction feels creative and fun and the non fiction feels personal no matter what age I read it.
3. Bad Summer People ๐ horny rich people play tennis over the summer and make bad choices! Quick read, gets me in the mood to keep reading more and more.

-low stakes, u can change books if u don't like them and just borrow another one!
-gets me out of a reading slumps bc i have a deadline to read them instead of just being able to allow them to collect dust on my bookshelf forever
-supports one of the few remaining free third spaces
-finding paragraphs someone else underlined and imagining the person based on that
-that hot pisces librarian that looks like german michael pitt and wears dress pants in the middle of summer. that's just my local library sorry

i have a huge collection of digital music still on my hard drive from when i was a heavy pirate bay user in the 2000s/2010s + copied my now lost cd collection. but my computer is too old to be compatible w my iphone so i had to switch to spotify. as soon as i can use my library again my plan is to put the money i would use for spotify in a lil jar and use that to buy cds instead. also, i used to always carry a usb stick on my keychain and whenever friends were playing cool music i would ask if i could copy it. borrow ur friends cds! buy random cds at flea markets! borrow cds from the library and copy them to your computer! tbh choosing what to listen to every time on streaming gives me brain fatigue. i remember it was very soothing to organize my collection and know that i could play it on shuffle and always find something interesting.
